Chapter4: The Rabbit Sends in a Little Bill
Summary:

It is the White Rabbit; he is searching for his fan and gloves and he is claiming again of being late. Alice helps the Rabbit in searching but she couldn`t find it. Then, the Rabbit invites Alice to come to his house anticipating that he might find his things there. Indeed, Alice finds the gloves and fan in the Rabbit`s house and she also finds a bottle. She drinks the bottle and she grows up quickly; now, she doesn`t fit Rabbit`s house and her hands get out the windows and her foot gets out the chimney. The Rabbit calls the gardeners to remove the enormous creature from his house. After a while, Alice hears sounds of people gathering holding their ropes and ladders. They use many ways to let Alice out of the Rabbit`s house and even the Rabbit suggests burning the house but Alice threatens him with her cat. Alice searches for something that will help her to get smaller in size. Finally, the gardeners throw pebbles at Alice`s face and the pebbles become cakes. Alice eats one piece of cake and shrinks, then she quickly leaves the house. Now because Alice is very small, she is afraid of other animals that may eat her. Again, she is looking for something to eat to make her bigger; she sees a big mushroom so she climbs to the top of it and she encounters a caterpillar.
Analysis:
As it is known commonly that humans are the ones who are dominant over animals but in this chapter, the roles reverse; the Rabbit gives an order to Alice to look for his fan and gloves which makes Alice starts imagining that her cat might do the same when she returns to home. When Alice drinks from the bottle and becomes bigger, she immediately wants to return back to reality and go home. Although becoming bigger means being wise for a child, Alice feels confused and wants the home. Her curiosity is the reason that leads her to enter the adventure of wonderland alone but whenever she feels confused, she wants her home to be the child that everyone in the home takes care of.
