Plot overview of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Climax

Alice grows to her full size and opposes the Queen of Hearts in the trial of the stolen tarts in the chapter "Alice's Evidence."

Alice falls through a rabbit hole after following the White Rabbit. She drops gently and settles on dry leaves and sticks.

Exposition

"Down the Rabbit-Hole" is the first chapter of the novel. On a hot summer day, Alice sits by a riverside. Her older sister reads to her. She is startled to find a talking white rabbit walking by.
